The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley in Park City is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead the hotel’s maintenance and operations, reporting to the General Manager. This senior role requires proactive oversight of HVAC, safety, and capital projects, with exposure to corporate leadership.

You will manage vendor relationships, budgeting, and staff development to ensure top-tier service and compliance with building codes, while fostering Hyatt's culture of guest excellence.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in hotel or building management, typically with Hyatt.
• Opening hotels experience preferred.
• Service oriented with strong presentations skills.
• Senior facility management experience with leadership ability.

Responsibilities

• Review contracts, negotiate with vendors and contractors.
• Direct maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.
• Budget planning, cost tracking, and reporting.
• Ensure safety, building codes, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with corporate staff on capital projects and emergencies.
• Lead and coach maintenance staff to Hyatt standards.
