Job summary

Highgate Hotels in Las Vegas is seeking an Engineer, Level 3 to perform skilled repairs and preventive maintenance across Renaissance Las Vegas. You will work to keep guest areas functional while minimizing disruption.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma, 3+ years in hotel maintenance, and the ability to read blueprints. You may supervise other engineers and must be comfortable with long hours and physical tasks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; hotel maintenance experience often required.
• At least three years progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Trade school and/or College coursework in related field helpful.
• Previous supervisory skills preferred.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Make repairs to hotel air conditioning system: change filters, clean coils, replace motors.
• Perform preventive maintenance on boilers, chillers, HVAC, electrical systems.
• Take required readings on equipment and test cooling towers.
• Replace and program televisions as needed.
• Repair and program hotel electronic lock system.
• Assist in supervising other engineering staff and scheduling preventive maintenance tasks.
