Job summary

SpringHill Suites Miami Airport South is seeking a dedicated Cook to craft meals for the Iguana Bar and ensure a quality dining experience for guests.

You will follow food safety standards, prep and plate accurately, accommodate guest requests, and support inventory and kitchen cleanliness. A collaborative team player who can lift items and work mornings, evenings, and weekends is ideal.

Qualifications

• Previous food handling or prep/line experience required.
• Must be able to read, write, type and use basic technology.
• Must be able to stand for an entire shift and lift at least 25 pounds.
• Food Handler’s Permit required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare various food items for the Iguana Bar.
• Creatively accommodate special requests from guests.
• Ensure food deliveries are timely, accurate and meet presentation standards.
• Assist with quality, cleanliness and organization of the restaurant and kitchen.
• Assist with inventory, ordering and receiving of all food and beverage items.
• Maintain and enforce sanitation and safety standards with anyone entering the kitchen area.
• Support the goals of the hotel through teamwork and collaboration with all departments.
