IHG in Downtown Miami is hiring a kitchen associate to prepare and cook daily items, manage prep work and assist with inventory. You will ensure cleanliness and safety while supporting a collaborative team in a fast-paced hotel kitchen.

The role requires physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs, reliable reading and basic math, and willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Strong communication and compliance with health standards are essential.

Qualifications

• Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and perform kitchen duties.
• Good reading, writing and basic math.
• Ability to work night, weekend and holiday shifts.
• Adherence to local food handling laws and age requirements.
• Friendly, warm communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook orders for daily operations, including cold items and batches.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with receiving and stock checks.
• Assist with washing and other kitchen duties as needed.
• Interact with colleagues and guests as required.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness to meet health standards.
• Keep work area organized and report unsafe equipment.
• Coordinate with Sales, Catering, Banquets, Outlets, Maintenance, and Guest Services.
• Ensure cafeteria and kitchen spaces are clean and stocked.
• Open, close and prep work duties; transport prepared food to cafeteria.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
