The Emily Hotel is seeking a Cook 1 to join our kitchen team in Chicago. You will prepare foods such as meats, fish, vegetables, and sauces according to standard recipes and production requirements, ensuring quality and sanitary handling.

Qualifications

• Experience as a line cook in a similar environment is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Culinary arts education is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items such as meats, fish, vegetables, sauces, and eggs per pre-assigned schedule.
• Plate and garnish meals as directed by the Chef.
• Assist with production of menu items using standard recipes and equipment.
• Maintain safe, sanitary kitchen and proper food handling.
• Assist with prep work, stocking stations, and cleaning duties.
• Participate in training and supervision of kitchen staff as needed.
