Job summary

Hilton Richmond is seeking a hands-on Chief Engineer to oversee all engineering operations for the property. You will lead maintenance staff, manage the preventive maintenance program, ensure safety and compliance, and coordinate with other departments to keep guest areas running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has 4–6 years of hotel or building maintenance experience, supervisory experience, and strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life-safety systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical HVAC training strongly preferred.
• Certifications such as EPA, CPO or HVAC license preferred.
• Minimum 4–6 years in hotel/building maintenance with supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all engineering operations, maintenance tasks, and building systems for the property.
• Manage, lead, and schedule engineering staff; provide training and performance feedback.
• Maintain and execute the property's preventive maintenance program.
• Ensure equipment, systems, and areas are safe and efficient.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guestrooms and public areas.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for major repairs and service agreements.
