Job summary

Hilton is seeking a Chief Engineer to manage the hotel’s mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and information systems, ensuring a safe and efficient physical plant and guest experience. The role requires leadership in preventive maintenance, inspections, safety compliance with NC OSHA, and coordination with contractors.

Strong English communication and a background in building trades are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 6–12 months related experience or training.
• Ability to read & write in English.
• Strong knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, FF&E, and information systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facilities preventive maintenance schedule (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly).
• Maintain filing systems for inspections, MSDS, and work orders.
• Coordinate with contractors and schedule outside preventive maintenance work.
• Ensure safety protocols per NC OSHA and maintain an inventory/control system for supplies and tools.
• Assist engineering staff and manage budgets and resource planning.
