Job summary

Hilton Richmond Downtown is seeking a Chief Engineer to oversee all engineering and maintenance operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and guest comfort.

You will lead the engineering team, manage preventive maintenance, coordinate with vendors, and uphold life-safety standards while supporting capital projects and budgeting. The role requires 4–6 years in hotel or facilities maintenance and strong HVAC, plumbing, and electrical expertise.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Technical or vocational training in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related fields preferred.
Certifications such as EPA, CPO, HVAC license, or related credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee engineering operations, maintenance tasks, and building systems.
Lead and schedule engineering staff; provide training and feedback.
Maintain PM program and ensure safety compliance.
Respond to maintenance requests and coordinate repairs.
Coordinate with vendors for major repairs and service agreements.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with budget management.
