Job summary

Vision Hospitality Group is seeking a Chief Engineer to oversee the functionality and safety of our hotel property, including the buildings, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, life-safety systems and grounds. You will direct maintenance, repair, and installation to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with laws and codes.

The role demands hands-on leadership, the ability to roll up sleeves, and a commitment to our ONE TEAM.

Qualifications

• Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, push, and stretch and lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds.
• Able to work 8 hours in a restricted space/environment.
• Must have eyesight enabling vision both near and far.
• Must be able to use/lift arms for up to 8 hours.
• Must be able to write and communicate effectively.
• Must have dependable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the functionality and safety of the hotel property, including buildings, mechanical equipment, electrical systems, HVAC, life safety systems and grounds.
• Direct maintenance, installation, and repair of electrical, mechanical, and architectural systems.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
• Lead and mentor maintenance teams; supervise, schedule, and conduct evaluations.
• Communicate with city/county/state officials to coordinate inspections and permits.
• Lead special projects and oversee contracted work as needed.
• Maintain and test life safety systems and fire/evacuation procedures.
• Inspect and direct construction, installation, and maintenance across facility.
