Job summary

Residence Inn Morgantown Medical Center Area seeks a Chief Engineer to drive maintenance and safety across the property. Youll lead the engineering team, schedule shifts, and ensure HVAC, boilers and chillers stay in top condition for guest comfort.

Youll also handle budgetary considerations, respond to maintenance requests promptly, and uphold high service standards while representing the brand with integrity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; supervisory experience preferred.
• 5+ years in hotel/related maintenance with leadership responsibilities.
• Current HVAC, pool, electrical certifications; boiler/chiller repair license where required.
• Strong communication, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage finances and control costs.
• Valid driver’s license and a customer-service focus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain guest rooms and public areas to hotel standards.
• Lead, train and schedule the engineering team.
• Perform safety inspections and drills to ensure compliance.
• Respond to maintenance requests and improve guest service scores.
• Inspect grounds, manage Lost and Found, and uphold property appearance.
• Access sensitive areas responsibly and represent the company professionally.
