Job summary

Ivy Hospitality is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the maintenance department for our hotel. You will ensure HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems operate safely and reliably, while directing preventive maintenance and safety programs.

The role requires strong leadership, budget discipline, and adherence to regulatory standards, with daily collaboration across departments to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a 2-year degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and refrigeration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance department, ensuring hotel operations and systems function optimally.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure longevity and efficiency.
• Administer life safety programs including fire safety and emergency procedures.
• Monitor expenses and manage capital expenditures within budget.
• Supervise external contractors and ensure work meets standards and budget.
