Job summary

Socket.dev Chief Engineer role overseeing hotel engineering operations, ensuring safety, reliability and guest comfort. You’ll manage preventive maintenance, coordinate repairs, and drive improvements across HVAC, plumbing, electrical and building systems.

You’ll report to the General Manager, collaborate with Front Office and Housekeeping, and guide an on-site team to meet health, safety and brand standards while controlling costs.

Qualifications

• Must have strong knowledge of HVAC systems, PTAC units, and general building services.
• Experience with plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks.
• Must be able to lift heavy objects and work across multiple maintenance disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Send daily activity and accomplishment emails to Facilities Manager and General Manager.
• Use Lodgistics or similar CMMS to communicate daily activities.
• Perform and document preventative maintenance programs.
• Complete work orders in a timely manner and respond to guest repair requests.
• Test and troubleshoot equipment in guest rooms, pools, and service areas.
• Maintain inventory and requisition parts as needed.
• Be flexible with shifts, including weekends and holidays.
