Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years in hotel engineering or maintenance management.

• Proven ability to manage maintenance staff and contractors, including hiring, training, and evaluation.
• Experience with budgeting, inventory management, and purchasing for maintenance operations.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to handle emergencies effectively.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail in planning and execution.
• Ability to communicate clearly and work with other departments, vendors and management.
• Familiarity with safety and compliance protocols and training staff on emergency procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional and courteous guest service at all times.
• Supervise maintenance operations including refrigeration, heating, plumbing, water treatment, A/C, lighting, and safety systems.
• Monitor and manage energy consumption for efficiency.
• Oversee contracted services to meet hotel standards and guest expectations.
• Supervise maintenance staff including hiring, training, evaluations, and scheduling.
• Ensure timely completion of all maintenance projects per specifications.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping and Security on operations, key control, and safety procedures.
• Assist with project planning and work with architects/contractors on bids and blueprints.
• Manage maintenance agreements and contracts including landscaping and snow removal.
• Develop and maintain maintenance programs for guest rooms, public spaces, and equipment.
• Perform inventory management, purchasing duties, and budget development for the department.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workspaces and participate in General Manager meetings.
