Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in hotel engineering or maintenance management.
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration, heating, plumbing, water treatment, and energy controls.
• Proven ability to manage maintenance staff and contractors.
• Experience with budgeting, inventory management, and purchasing.
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Clear communication and cross-department collaboration.
• Familiarity with safety and compliance protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional and courteous guest service at all times.
• Supervise maintenance operations, incl. refrigeration, heating, plumbing, water treatment, A/C, lighting, and life-safety systems.
• Monitor and manage energy consumption (electric, gas, oil, water) for efficiency.
• Oversee contracted services (electrical, plumbing, cleaning) to meet hotel standards.
• Supervise maintenance staff, including hiring, training, evaluations, and scheduling.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of all maintenance projects according to specifications.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping and Security on operations, key control, and safety procedures.
• Assist with project planning and work with architects and contractors on bids.
• Manage maintenance agreements and contracts, including landscaping and snow removal.
• Develop and maintain maintenance programs for guest rooms, public spaces, and hotel equipment.
• Perform inventory management, purchasing duties, and budget development for the department.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of workspaces and attend meetings as required by the General Manager.
