Job summary

Hilton in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead maintenance across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, FF&E and information systems. You’ll manage preventive maintenance, inspections, safety plans and budget controls to ensure guest satisfaction and operational excellence.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with 6–12 months related experience, strong English communication and practical skills in carpentry, HVAC, and building systems. Weekend availability is expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 6–12 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read & write in English, communicate with guests with tact & diplomacy, and solve practical problems.

Responsibilities

• Seek opportunities to exceed guest and team member expectations.
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedule for daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly tasks.
• Maintain filing systems for preventive maintenance tasks and inspections.
• Maintain an emergency action plan and safety protocols in compliance with NC OSHA.
• Manage inventory, budget, and supplier/contractor contacts.
• Coordinate training for engineering technicians and tracking of work orders.
