Job summary

Prairie Meadows in Altoona, IA is seeking a line cook for 1pm-9pm on Sun/Mon/Tue and 2pm-10pm on Fri/Sat. You will help prepare, produce and present high-quality meals under top training and benefits.

You’ll operate standard kitchen equipment, maintain cleanliness, ensure food safety, label and test items, and support the team with a great attitude. HS diploma preferred; 1 year food service experience; ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year experience in food service preparation preferred.
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. One year experience in food service preparation preferred. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time and have the ability to withstand repetitive reaching and bending. Responsible handling of hot equipment, sharp objects, and navigating wet floors required. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push a cart weighing up to 150 lbs. required. Ability to work weekends, holidays, and varied hours required.
