Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management is seeking a Hotel Billing Clerk to balance daily settlements, post payments, review direct bill accounts and respond to guest billing inquiries. Knowledge of accounts payable and general cashiering is preferred.

The position requires attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced hotel environment. Candidates should have at least 1 year of related accounting experience, strong math skills, and proficiency with MS Excel/Word.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of related accounting experience with hotel experience preferred.
• Knowledge of accounts payable and general cashiering.
• Basic mathematical skills and ability to operate a 10-key by touch.
• Ability to effectively deal with guest and employee concerns in a friendly and positive manner.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Windows.
• Excellent telephone etiquette and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Invoice all direct bill accounts.
• Posts all miscellaneous payments.
• Reviews and completes all credit verifications for direct bill accounts.
• Balance credit cards.
• Maintains an organized and accurate direct billing file.
• Handle customer inquiries regarding billing and receipts.
• Research chargebacks, billing disputes, partial payments, etc.
• Assist with phases of month end inventories.
• Perform related clerical duties as requested by supervisor.
• Adheres to all Company policies and procedures and safety rules.
