Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management is hiring for a part-time bartender at the Marriott Raleigh Durham Research Triangle Park in Durham, NC. The position involves greeting guests, taking and serving drink orders, stock management, cash handling, and maintaining a clean, safe bar area.

The PM shift offers daily responsibilities and requires knowledge of liquor regulations and food handling. Compensation includes hourly pay with potential for higher earnings via tips, meal benefits, and team culture

Qualifications

• Knowledge of State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Hold a current Food Handler Card.
• Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages.
• Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand portion sizes.
• Basic English language writing skills necessary for completion of requisitions, and vouchers.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, promote and document drink orders, mix and present drinks.
• Maintain bar setup and stock, including beer, wine, spirits and perishables.
• Ensure accurate cash handling, deposits and daily balancing.
• Answer bar phone, take room service orders and input into POS system.
• Perform general cleaning and adhere to health standards.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a neat, groomed appearance.
