Job summary

Shaner Hotels at Durham Marriott City Center in Durham, NC is seeking an energetic team member for the restaurant/food & beverage outlet. You will take orders, prepare drinks and light meals, maintain stock and ensure cleanliness and safety in the outlet.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in Restaurant/Food & Beverage.
• Must meet state age requirement to serve alcohol.
• Ability to read safety rules and operating/maintenance instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests, management and co-workers.
• High school graduate or equivalent; some college preferred.
• ServSafe and/or food safety training a plus; TIPS training is a plus.
• Familiarity with local activities for clientele.

Responsibilities

• Take orders, prepare, and serve alcoholic, non-alcoholic beverages and light meals.
• Maintain stock, supplies, and cleanliness of outlet and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and hotel specifications.
• Assist guests and coordinate with other departments as needed.
