Job summary

Town Pump Hotel Group is seeking a motivated Hotel Assistant Housekeeper to maintain guest rooms and common areas to meet brand standards. You will support the head housekeeper, supervise staff, and ensure safety and cleanliness across shifts.

Responsibilities

• perform duties to ensure guest rooms and common areas are cleaned, ensure the best possible experience for each guest, to Town Pump and brand operational standards within specified time frames per guest type.
• assist the head housekeeper in supervising all housekeeping and laundry team members, including hiring, training, performance management, and ordering of supplies.
• practice safe working conditions per OSHA guidelines and ensure cleanliness and organization of spaces.
• in the absence of the head housekeeper, assign daily work, complete inspections, and provide feedback to team members.
• complete required training, prepare housekeeping carts, and maintain grooming and appearance standards.
• act as laundry staff, room attendant, or lobby staff as required and perform other duties as assigned by the head housekeeper.
• maintain confidentiality of guest and company information and communicate professionally with guests and staff.
• understand general housekeeping and recordkeeping; follow written and oral instructions.

As a Hotel Assistant Housekeeper, You Will

• perform duties to ensure guest rooms and common areas are cleaned, ensure the best possible experience for each guest, to Town Pump and brand operational standards within specified time frames per guest type.
• assist the head housekeeper in supervising all housekeeping and laundry team members. This includes, but is not limited to participating in the hiring, training, performance management, conflict resolution, discipline, and termination of team members as required, complete inventory, and ordering of supplies.
• practice and reinforce with team members safe working conditions under Occupational Safety and Health Administration guidelines to include Bloodborne Pathogens.
• in the absence of the head housekeeper, you will assign daily work for the housekeeping and laundry department, distribute assignments accordingly, complete inspections of rooms, public areas, storerooms, and laundry, and provide regular feedback to team members about their assigned work.
• complete all required company and brand-specific training and/or certifications in a timely manner, prepare housekeeping cart upon arrival and at shift closing daily, always follow Town Pump's grooming and appearance guidelines, and wear uniform and name tag while on shift.
• act as laundry staff, room attendant, or lobby staff we required and complete other duties as assigned by the head housekeeper.
• maintain a strong work ethic, display a high degree of pride and integrity in job performance, comply with Town Pump expectations for confidentiality of guest and company information, communicate in a courteous, professional manner with teammates, management, and guests.
• need knowledge of general housekeeping and recordkeeping, ability to comprehend oral and written instructions, correspondence, and memos.
