Job summary

Town Pump Hotel Group is seeking a motivated Hotel Head Housekeeper to lead guest room and public area cleaning, upholding our mission of Genuine Hospitality. You will supervise the housekeeping and laundry teams, hire and train staff, and ensure safety and brand standards across shifts.

You will assign daily work, inspect spaces, manage schedules, and maintain inventory while ensuring secure handling of master keys and delivering courteous service to guests.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of general housekeeping and recordkeeping.
• Ability to comprehend oral and written instructions, memos and emails.
• Experience supervising a housekeeping team or similar operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties to ensure guest rooms and common areas are cleaned to brand standards within time frames.
• Supervise housekeeping and laundry team members, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Enforce safety protocols under OSHA guidelines and maintain a safe work environment.
• Assign daily work, inspect rooms and public areas, and manage weekly scheduling based on occupancy.
• Prepare housekeeping cart, follow grooming guidelines, wear uniform and name tag on shift.
• Manage room keys securely and ensure they are never loaned or lost.
• Oversee linen and supply inventory, process requisitions, and handle lost and found items.
• Maintain professional communication with guests and colleagues and document instructions clearly.

Job description

As a Hotel Head Housekeeper, You Will

• perform duties to ensure guest rooms and common areas are cleaned, ensure the best possible experience for each guest, to Town Pump and brand operational standards within specified time frames per guest type.
• supervise all housekeeping and laundry team members. This includes, but is not limited to participating in the hiring, training, performance management, conflict resolution, discipline, and termination of team members as required.
• practice and reinforce with team members safe working conditions under Occupational Safety and Health Administration guidelines to include Bloodborne Pathogens.
• assign daily work for the housekeeping and laundry department, distribute assignments accordingly, complete inspections of rooms, public areas, storerooms, and laundry, provide regular feedback to team members about their assigned work, and complete weekly schedule based on forecasted hotel occupancy.
• complete all required company and brand-specific training and/or certifications in a timely manner, prepare housekeeping cart upon arrival and at shift closing daily, always follow Town Pump’s grooming and appearance guidelines, and wear uniform and name tag while on shift.
• use and update the room assignment clipboard, sign-out, and sign-in master room keys daily. Ensure master keys are always secure (attached to self) and never loaned to anyone or taken off the property.
• manage linen and supply inventory, generate supply requisitions, maintain and be responsible for the lost and found items.
• maintain a strong work ethic, display a high degree of pride and integrity in job performance, comply with Town Pump expectations for confidentiality of guest and company information, communicate in a courteous, professional manner with teammates, management, and guests.
• need knowledge of general housekeeping and recordkeeping, ability to comprehend oral and written instructions, correspondence, and mems.
• may be required to perform duties such as folding laundry, cleaning the lobby, assisting with breakfast service, cleaning public areas, guest rooms etc.
