Job summary

Courtyard Lima in Lima, Ohio, is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead daily hotel operations, supervise Guest Service and housekeeping, and ensure guest satisfaction and cleanliness standards.

You will train staff, manage check-ins, schedules, audits, and supplier relations, while maintaining brand standards and safety compliance. This on-site role requires 18+ hours availability including peak times and weekends. This position offers weekly pay and full-time benefits.

Responsibilities

• Daily supervision of guest rooms and public spaces to ensure friendly service and cleanliness.
• Provide one-on-one training for new team members on service standards and checklists.
• Verify staffing and supervise check-in/check-out during peak times and meals.
• Greet guests with a smile and supervise during peak periods.
• Foster a culture of happy guests and team members.
• Ensure daily room inspections and adherence to cleanliness standards.
• Assist in inventory counts and vendor coordination as needed.
• Support onboarding of new hires and onboarding checklists.
• Review time clock punches and ensure policy compliance.
• Complete daily and night audit processes and prepare reports.
• Process purchases through PO system and ensure vendor compliance.
• Sign off on invoices and record accruals appropriately.
• Oversee quality assurance and brand standard adherence.
• Ensure fire and life safety inspections are up to date.
• Escalate service or delivery failures as needed.
• Confirm preventative maintenance tasks are performed.
• Monitor and adjust work schedules and shift coverage when required.
