Job summary

Great Lakes Management Group is seeking an Accounting Specialist to support its corporate accounting team. The role focuses on accounts payable, payroll processing through ADP Workforce Now, and property-level accounting support across the hotel portfolio.

You will work with General Managers, property leaders, and the corporate team to ensure accurate transactions, timely closings, and strong internal controls. A detail-oriented, organized, and discreet professional is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 2–3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, or related experience.
• Experience with accounts payable processing, invoice management, and general accounting procedures.
• Experience processing payroll or supporting payroll administration.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable processes for assigned properties: entry, coding, approvals, and payment processing.
• Process payroll using ADP Workforce Now; review hours, pay rates, deductions, and adjustments.
• Assist with month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Prepare payroll-related reporting, reconciliations, and general ledger allocations.
• Support bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and property-level financial documentation.
• Collaborate with hotel management and corporate accounting to ensure accurate financial reporting.
