Description

This position involves learning all aspects of the Front Desk Clerk role and filling in shifts as needed. An Accounting Clerk is responsible for responding to guest inquiries, resolving billing disputes, performing month-end duties, and preparing daily receivables to support the hotel's guest service and financial goals.

What will I be doing?

As an Accounting Clerk, your responsibilities include:

  • Responding promptly and courteously to guest inquiries and requests
  • Resolving billing disputes efficiently
  • Completing month-end reports and responsibilities
  • Preparing and posting daily receivables from event contracts
  • Verifying receiving tickets, purchase orders, and invoices
  • Reviewing and correcting final statements and mailing sales contracts
  • Preparing journal entries
  • Handling guest service calls and correspondence
  • Filling in for Front Desk Clerk shifts when necessary
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent, with basic accounting knowledge. Proficiency in computer software, good communication skills, and command of English. Mathematical skills and prior A/R & collections experience are a plus.
