Pilkington North America Inc. seeks a Plant Manager for the Hot End in Ottawa, IL.

You will provide leadership and direction for safety, quality and production performance, coordinating with process engineers, shift Supervisors and maintenance to meet budgets and schedules. Key responsibilities include reducing loss through data-driven improvement, supporting ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 audits, and maintaining strong employee relations while driving continuous improvement and capital project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant work experience.
• 5 years managerial experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent communication & human relation skills; interact with all levels effectively.
• Leadership experience demonstrating results-oriented achievements.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and direction for safety in the Hot End and promotes safety daily.
• Provides leadership and direction to the Hot End organization in all areas of glassmaking.
• Eliminates waste with Hot End Process Engineers and Shift Supervisors.
• Review performance vs budget and allocate resources as needed.
• Support ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 audits.
• Develop training plans and skill assessments with HR and other managers.
• Justify and implement capital projects and schedule maintenance to minimize production impact.
