Job summary

Levy Restaurants in Chicago is seeking a seasonal host/door person to welcome guests at Wrigley Field venues during Cubs home games and special events. You will manage guest check-in, guide guests to seating areas, and uphold cleanliness and presentation standards in the lobby and entrance.

Ideal candidates are 21+ with prior hosting or door-person experience, able to stand for long periods, lift up to 30 pounds, and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Experience as a host or door person is a plus.
• Clean and presentable appearance.
• Valid ServSafe Food Handlers Certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards of work areas, entrance, and lobby.
• Managing a line of up to 225 guests.
• Keeping the guest list safe and presentable.
• Communicate with building supervisors, operations management, and the security teams.
• Assisting coworkers when needed.
• Performance of any other task assigned by leadership; subject to manager’s discretion.

Founded in Chicago 40 years ago as a Delicatessen, Levy now finds itself as a leading presence in the Food, Beverage, and Retail industry across 200 plus Entertainment, Sports, and Restaurant venues across the country.

Summary

Responsible for seating residents in the dining room. Handles customer service situations as they arise. Located across the street from Wrigley Field are the Wrigley Rooftops. We are one of the most unique professional sports experiences in the country. Up to 225 guests can enjoy an all-inclusive food buffet and bar service, including beer, wine, soft drinks, and water at one of our 11 multi-level club spaces. Each venue offers a unique viewpoint of the field as well as rooftop seating to comfortably enjoy the game. This is a seasonal position based specifically around Chicago Cubs home games and special events at Wrigley Field.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards of work areas. entrance, and lobby.
• Managing a line of up to 225 guests.

• Lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
• Climb up and down up to 7 flights of stairs.
• Stand for long periods of time.
• Work indoors and outdoors.
• Engage with guests in a personable and friendly manner.
• Accurately and efficiently check guests into the building while abiding by all Levy Restaurant rules and regulations.
• ID and confirm ages of all guests.
• Work as part of a team.
