Skytop Lodge, Inc. is seeking a Host for the Windsor Dining Room. The role greets guests warmly, seats them, and manages reservations both by phone and in person using OpenTable.
You will greet guests, guide seating, and assist servers to ensure a smooth dining experience; you’ll also handle take-out orders and support service throughout shifts, including weekends.

Being a host is the first line of defense and most important job in a restaurant. You will be our primary resource person for ensuring the guest is greeted warmly and professionally. The host is responsible for taking guests to the correct table and servers are fairly being seated. As host you will be taking dining reservations both via telephone and in person.
Restaurant Supervisor/ Restaurant Manager
Previous work experience in food service is recommended.
Maintaining accurate reser¬vation system, greeting and seating guest accordingly.
Must be able to work and be "on your feet" for long hours each day. Must be able to lift and carry trays ranging from one (1) to fifty (50) pounds in weight.
Schedule includes weekends and holidays and may include long hours on a daily basis. Work takes place primarily in the dining room, although other serving areas in the resort are sometimes used.
Spills or grease on walking surfaces; broken glassware or china; hot food, dishes or beverages.

Ability to problem-solve quickly when necessary (as during service hours). Good guest relations' skills. Good communication and organizational skills.
Ability to read, write and follow verbal or written instructions. Ability to speak and understand English.
Must genuinely enjoy working with the public and take pride in rendering fine service. Cheerfulness, a calm manner, flexibility and the ability to work in a team environment are essential.
