Job summary

Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa is seeking Sante Hosts to welcome guests, take reservations, and support a seamless dining experience. The role emphasizes exceptional guest service, accurate reservation handling, and collaboration with restaurant teams in a luxury Sonoma setting.

This is a full-time, permanent position with an hourly pay rate of $21.50, requiring flexibility to work mid-shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous Food & Beverage front of house experience required.
• Excellent communication skills and highly organized.
• Legible handwriting is required.
• Calm, warm demeanor with guests and team.
• Ability to work flexible hours including mid-shift, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests in the restaurant.
• Take, record and confirm reservations by phone and online.
• Communicate clearly with kitchen and service staff about guest needs.
• Escort guests to tables and assist with coats and drinks.
• Maintain knowledge of the menu, events and services.
• Assist in clearing and resetting tables in dining room and lobby.
• Provide service from the cheese cart and upsell where appropriate.
• Adhere to Fairmont standards for guest experience and hospitality.

Job Description

Our Sante Hosts are the face of the restaurant, welcoming and seating our guests into the venue, as well as taking reservations over the phone and online. They are an integral part of our restaurant operation, and your excellent customer service skills will shine through in this role.

This is a full-time, permanent position.

Pay Range: $21.50 per hour

Job Duties Include

• Greet and acknowledge all guests in a timely and efficient manner while adhering to Fairmont Hotels and Resort standards
• Take, record, and confirm with accuracy restaurant reservations in accordance with the reservation guidelines
• Use clear and concise communication with the assistants, servers, lead servers, and the Director of Restaurant Operations regarding the needs of the guests
• Escort guests to the appropriate table in the dining room
• Take and carry guests’ coats and drinks
• Interact with arriving / departing guests by maintaining a presence at the host stand
• Be familiar with all aspects, events and services of Sonoma Mission Inn and Spa
• Assist in cleaning, clearing and setting tables in the restaurant and lobby
• Serve from the cheese cart and maintain extensive knowledge of cheeses
• Maintain knowledge of menu

Qualifications

• Previous Food & Beverage front of house experience.

• Must have legible penmanship.
• Must have calm and warm manner
• Be able to work flexible hours including mid-shift, weekends, and holidays
