Job summary

Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa is seeking a Guest Service professional for our restaurant team in Sonoma. You will exceed guests' expectations, ensure flawless plate presentation, and assist servers to deliver dinners promptly while coordinating with chefs to keep stations ready.

Ideal candidates have at least one year in a restaurant and two years in customer service, with a friendly, engaging demeanor.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of restaurant experience.
• Two years of customer service experience.
• Friendly, helpful, engaging manner.

Responsibilities

• Exceed guests' expectations.
• Ensure a consistent, correct and quality plate presentation.
• Support and assist servers in timely delivery of dinners to guests.
• Work with chef to ensure stations are set up correctly.
• Maintain order on pickup side of line.
• Serve courses correctly and deliver dinner courses.
• Maintain extensive knowledge of menus and food preparation.
• Clear excess dishes to maintain a clean and orderly appearance.
• Serve from the cheese cart and maintain knowledge of cheeses.
• Perform side work as assigned and stay safety conscious.

• Be safety conscious, especially regarding spills
• Side work as assigned
• Other duties as assigned

Rate of Pay: $20.50 an hour

Qualifications

• Must have minimum one year of restaurant experience and two years customer service experience
• Must have friendly, helpful, engaging manner.
