Job summary

Hawkers Asian Street Food in Neptune Beach, FL is seeking a Host to be the friendly first impression of the dining experience. You will manage seating, balance guest flow, and work with the team to ensure guests feel welcomed and valued.

The role offers flexible scheduling with part-time and full-time opportunities, meal benefits during scheduled shifts, and opportunities for growth within a rapidly expanding brand. Prior guest-facing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Availability based on location’s business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Positive, guest-first attitude and genuine enthusiasm for hospitality.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Success in this role requires genuine hospitality, urgency, adaptability, strong communication, and the ability to stay composed in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the flow of the dining room and seating, lead the host team, and ensure guests feel welcomed and valued.
• Balance server sections by distributing tables to maintain service efficiency and monitor waitlists.
• Welcome guests, take them to their tables, and communicate wait times clearly.
• Coordinate with servers and leadership to handle large parties, VIPs, and special occasions.
• Oversee waitlists, seating, and post-seating turnover, ensuring prompt bus and clean tables.
• Answer phone inquiries about seating availability and operate the POS system as needed.
