Job summary

Arlo, the signature restaurant at Town and Country Resort in San Diego, seeks a Host / Greeter to deliver a warm, professional welcome and guide guests through seating and reservations. You will coordinate with servers and management to maintain a smooth flow, ensuring memorable guest experiences.

The role includes handling phones, guiding guests, and contributing to a friendly, organized dining environment.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for hospitality and making guests feel welcome.

• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to stay composed during busy periods.
• Experience in restaurant, hotel, or customer service preferred.
• Familiar with reservation and POS systems or willing to learn.

Arlo, the signature restaurant at Town and Country Resort, brings a fresh San Diego energy to the table. We’re looking for a Host / Greeter who knows that great hospitality starts before the first drink is poured or the first plate hits the table.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

• Welcome every guest with a warm, genuine, and professional greeting.
• Manage the flow of guests entering the restaurant while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
• Manage reservations, waitlists, seating assignments, and guest inquiries.
• Escort guests to their tables and provide menus and information as needed.
• Communicate closely with servers, managers, and the culinary team to keep service running smoothly.
• Monitor table availability and help balance seating throughout the restaurant.
• Answer phones and assist guests with questions about the restaurant, menu, reservations, and resort.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting host stand.
• Recognize returning guests and create memorable moments whenever possible.
• Handle guest concerns with professionalism and know when to involve a manager.
• Support the restaurant team wherever needed—because great hospitality is a team sport.
