Job summary

Arlo, the signature restaurant at Town and Country Resort in San Diego, seeks a Host/Greeter who can set a welcoming tone and guide guests with warmth from the moment they arrive.

You’ll manage reservations, greet guests, seat guests, and liaise with servers to keep service smooth during busy periods. Prior hospitality or customer service experience is preferred, and a flexible schedule is required to cover evenings and weekends.

Arlo, the signature restaurant at Town and Country Resort, brings a fresh San Diego energy to the table. We’re looking for a Host / Greeter who knows that great hospitality starts before the first drink is poured or the first plate hits the table.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

• Welcome every guest with a warm, genuine, and professional greeting.
• Manage the flow of guests entering the restaurant while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
• Manage reservations, waitlists, seating assignments, and guest inquiries.
• Escort guests to their tables and provide menus and information as needed.
• Communicate closely with servers, managers, and the culinary team to keep service running smoothly.
• Monitor table availability and help balance seating throughout the restaurant.
• Answer phones and assist guests with questions about the restaurant, menu, reservations, and resort.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting host stand.
• Recognize returning guests and create memorable moments whenever possible.
• Handle guest concerns with professionalism and know when to involve a manager.
• Support the restaurant team wherever needed—because great hospitality is a team sport.
