Job summary

Ensemble is seeking an energetic Host to greet guests, seat them, and present menus, creating a welcoming start to every dining experience.

You will maintain the dining room setup, coordinate via a daily logbook, and assist with service as needed while ensuring safety protocols and proper PPE usage are followed.

Qualifications

As the first point of contact, you will ensure every guest feels valued and comfortable from the moment they arrive. Your enthusiasm and excellent communication skills will set the tone for a memorable dining or service experience. This role is vital in maintaining smooth operations, managing guest flow, and fostering positive interactions that leave a lasting impression.

Your Focus

• Meet and greet guests as they arrive, offer choice of seating, escort to the dining table and present menu.
• Read, maintain and make daily entries in the logbook to coordinate communication between shifts and management.
• Maintain proper set-up of the dining room.
• Assist as needed or requested with service.
• Receive records and make any necessary arrangements for reservations and special functions in the restaurant.
• Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Your Background and Skill

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.

Work Environment and Context

• Work schedule varies and will include working on holidays and weekends.
• Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 35 pounds, bending and reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
