Job summary

Hershey Lodge, a hallmark of Hershey, seeks a Part-Time Team Member to support restaurant management in guest service and overall satisfaction.

You will greet guests, seat guests per requests and server rotation, and help with opening/closing tasks, reservations, and safety standards while maintaining a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Ability to operate a point-of-sale system and calculator.
• Strong guest relations and communication skills.
• Ability to handle cash and perform mathematical calculations.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests upon arrival and seat guests according to requests and server rotation.
• Open and close procedures including cash handling and settling guest charges.
• Coordinate reservations and seating charts; oversee service, safety, and sanitation to ensure quality.
• Respond to guests' questions, requests, and concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

Greet guests upon arrival in the restaurant and seat guests in accordance with their requests and server rotation*

Complete opening and closing procedures, including cash control and settlement of guest charges*

Coordinate reservations and seating charts, answer telephones; and oversee service, safety, and sanitation to ensure quality*

Respond to guests' questions, requests, and concerns*

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Must be at least 16 years of age

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to operate point-of-sale computer and calculator.

Proven employee/guest relations, communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.

Professional image representative of company image.

Ability to perform mathematical calculations and handle cash.

Job Demands:

Physical requirements include standing (up to 100% of shift), walking, bending, stooping, hearing, speaking and finger dexterity.

The ability to communicate effectively in a loud environment.

Ability to work a flexible eight-hour shift, breakfast, lunch, or dinner including weekends and holidays.
