Job summary

The Original Pancake House is seeking front of house staff to join our team in Fishers, IN. You will greet guests, seat them, take beverage orders, and assist hosts with a welcoming atmosphere.

Prior hosting or serving experience is helpful but not required; a friendly, customer-focused personality is essential. Candidates should communicate clearly with servers and managers, handle polite greetings and farewells, and be able to carry trays (10-30 lbs).

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant hosting or serving experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Bus and turn tables quickly and efficiently for the next guests.
• Greet guests and seat them at tables or in waiting areas, provide menus.
• Inform guests of current promotions and introductions to the service staff.
• Manage guest flow and provide accurate wait times when appropriate.
• Create and pour drinks according to recipes and serve to guests.
• Stock, clean and maintain the drink line.
• Weekend shifts required.

We are looking for guest-focused front of house staff to join our team! You will be bussing tables and assisting our hosts in welcoming guests, seating them in the restaurant, serving drinks, and stocking and maintaining our beverage area.

You are a natural people person who can quickly build rapport with guests and create a welcoming atmosphere. Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities, you rely on your excellent organization and communication skills to bring your best each day for yourself, restaurant staff, and guests.

Responsibilities:

• Quickly and efficiently bus and turn tables for the next guests
• Greet guests and seat them at tables or in waiting areas, providing guests with menus
• Assign patrons to tables suitable for their needs and according to rotation
• Inform guests of current promotions and who will be serving them to ensure a smooth handoff to the service staff
• Manage the flow of guests into the dining areas, provide accurate wait times to incoming guests if appropriate
• Creating and pouring drinks according to recipes, and serving them to guests
• Stocking, cleaning and maintaining our drink line
• Weekends Required

Qualifications:

• Previous restaurant hosting or serving experience preferred, but not required
• Friendly and customer-focused personality
• Ability to articulate clear greetings and farewells to guests, as well as being able to understand requests for assistance
• Ability to clearly communicate guests' needs to Servers, Food Runners, Managers, etc.
• Ability to effectively communicate on the telephone
• Must be able to carry trays or supplies (10-30 lbs.)
