Quaker Steak & Lube in Cortland, OH seeks a Host/Cashier to warmly welcome guests, manage front-of-house flow, and handle transactions with accuracy. You’ll create a friendly first impression, support seating, and help carryout orders as needed.

We value a team-first mindset, strong communication, and reliability. No experience required, but prior host/cashier work is a plus in a fast-paced environment. Up to 50 lbs lifting and extended standing may be required.

Qualifications

• Prior host/cashier experience is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, and bend for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming attitude and provide excellent customer service.
• Manage seating arrangements and wait lists to ensure smooth restaurant flow and guest satisfaction.
• Accurately process guest payments and handle cash, credit card, and other transactions responsibly.
• Answer phones, assist guests with questions, and support carryout or to-go orders as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, front entrance, and dining areas.
• Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and managers to support efficient operations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
