Job summary

Quaker Steak & Lube is seeking a Host/Cashier to warmly welcome guests and manage the front-of-house flow. You will handle transactions, assist with carryout orders, and help maintain a clean, organized host stand and dining area. The role emphasizes teamwork, strong communication, and a guest-first mindset.

No prior experience is required, but hospitality or cashier experience is a plus. This on-site position offers a friendly team environment and opportunities to grow with the restaurant

Qualifications

• No experience required; prior host/cashier experience is a plus.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to stand, walk, reach and bend for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming attitude and provide excellent customer service.
• Manage seating arrangements and wait lists for smooth restaurant flow.
• Accurately process guest payments and handle cash, credit card, and other transactions.
• Answer phones, assist guests with questions, and support carryout or to-go orders.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, front entrance, and dining areas.
• Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and managers to support operations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
