Job summary

Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa in the Texas Hill Country is seeking a friendly Part-time Host to welcome guests, seat dining guests, and help create exceptional service experiences in our award-winning restaurant.

You will manage reservations, support servers, and maintain a clean, inviting dining room while working flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Omni Hotels & Resorts is an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Prior host experience preferred.
• Ability to multi task.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (5–8 hours).
• Flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests upon entry with a friendly, attentive demeanor.
• Seat guests by locating clean tables, arranging menus, and coordinating with servers.
• Answer phones and record reservations for large parties.
• Assist in managing outside dining flow during peak hours.
• Monitor dining room seating availability, service flow, and guest well‑being.
• Support servers as needed to ensure timely service.
• Thank guests at departure and invite return visits.

Work in a team-oriented, high-volume, fast paced, guest-centric environment to provide an Exceptionally Distinctive Guest Experience. This position will ensure all guests are greeted and seated in a friendly and courteous manner.

Responsibilities:

• * Greet guests when entering the restaurant with a pleasant smile and superior customer service
• * Seat guests by finding a clean, available table, pulling out chairs, and placing clean menu in front of guest
• * Answer phone and record reservations for large parties
• * Control high volume outside of restaurant
• * Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety and well being of guests
• * Assist servers when needed
• * Thank every guest upon departure, invite them to return, and wish them a fond farewell

Qualifications:

• * Must be at least 18 years of age.
• * Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
• * Prior host experience preferred
• * Must be able to multi task
• * Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period of time or for an entire shift
• * Must be able to stand for 5-8 hour shifts
• * Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10lbs without assistance
• * Must be able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
