Job Description

General Summary: A Host is responsible for directing the traffic flow of guests in the restaurant, handling all payment transactions, and ensuring the security of the cash drawer. The position reports to the General Manager and requires minimal supervision.

Requirements

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Greet and seat guests, knowing how to read and use the seating chart and wait list.
2. Be knowledgeable about Rib Crib products, preparation methods, portion sizes, and prices; able to discuss these with customers in person or over the phone.
3. Answer phone calls, determine the call's purpose, and direct calls appropriately. Take call-in orders and answer catering questions as needed.
4. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier stand and restroom facilities.
5. Stock the to-go station and package to-go orders.
6. Record and analyze cash flow, including opening, operating, and closing duties.
7. Demonstrate teamwork by willingly assuming any responsibility or task, regardless of nature, to support the team.
8. Perform all other duties as assigned.
