Stanford’s Restaurant and Bar in Seattle, WA is seeking a dynamic, full-time Host to join Ascend Hospitality Group. Thrive in a fast-paced environment while delivering exceptional hospitality and guest experiences.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, managing reservations, coordinating with the front-of-house team, and maintaining a welcoming, professional environment. A WA Food Handler permit is required.

Qualifications

• Prior related experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English with guests and staff.
• Valid Washington State Department of Health Food Handler permit.

Responsibilities

• Open the door for guests and greet them warmly.
• Manage reservations and keep lines from forming.
• Answer reservation calls and complete bookings in the system.
• Stay informed on menus and offerings across venues.
• Assist with daily administrative tasks as directed.
• Ensure a fast, friendly guest experience and smooth floor operations.

Pay rate:

• $20.76 plus tips

Responsibilities:

• Arrive at work on time and in proper uniform, prepared to execute exceptional shifts. Open the door for guests.
• Keep lines from forming at the door.
• Answer incoming reservation calls.?
• Complete reservations in the computerized reservation system.?
• Keep abreast of all food & beverage venues and menus.?
• Perform other related duties as assigned.?
• Greet guests in a warm and friendly manner.?
• Answer the telephone and facilitate guest requests.?
• Using the table management system, manage incoming reservations and venue floor.?
• Bid all guests farewell and invite them back to Stanford’s.
• Assist with daily administrative work as per direction of the venue manager.?

Physical demands and work environment:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk and use hands to perform essential job functions. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Requirements:

• Prior related experience preferred.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English with guests as well as all levels of employees in both verbal and written form in a professional manner.?
• Ability to manipulate the MICROS POS system and accurately input orders and post transactions.?
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.?
• Ability to provide direction in a fast-paced environment; manage time effectively and work well in a team environment.?
• Must possess excellent customer relations, sales, & communication skills.?
• Must possess at all times during employment a valid Washington State Department of Health Food Handler permit.
• A desire to learn, grow, and a passion for progress in this career.
