Job summary

Landed is seeking a warm and polished Host to create the first and last impression in our restaurant. You’ll greet guests with genuine warmth, manage the flow of the dining room, and ensure each seating feels seamless, not rushed.

In this role you’ll coordinate with servers and managers, handle OpenTable reservations, and keep the host station tidy. A professional demeanor and hospitality experience are valued for delivering exceptional guest experiences.

• Manage reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists using OpenTable.
• Balance the dining room to support kitchen flow and server sections.
• Answer phones, confirm reservations, and handle special requests.
• Maintain a clean, organized host stand and entryway.
• Communicate clearly with servers, managers, and kitchen staff.
• Handle guest concerns or wait-time frustrations with grace.
• Assist with light bussing and table resets during peak periods.

We're looking for a warm, polished Host to be the first and last impression of our restaurant. You'll set the tone for every guest's experience — greeting them with genuine warmth, managing the flow of the dining room, and making sure every table turn feels seamless rather than rushed.

What you'll do:

• Greet and seat guests promptly with a friendly, professional demeanor that reflects our brand
• Manage reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists using our reservation system OpenTable
• Balance the dining room strategically — pacing seating to support kitchen flow and server sections without overwhelming any one area
• Answer phones, confirm reservations, and handle special requests (allergies, celebrations, large parties)
• Maintain a clean, organized host stand and entryway
• Communicate clearly with servers, managers, and kitchen staff about table status, VIPs, or special occasions
• Handle guest concerns or wait-time frustrations with grace and problem-solving instincts
• Assist with light bussing, menu updates, or table resets as needed during peak periods

What we're looking for:

• A genuine people-person with a calm, confident presence — comfortable with both regulars and first-time guests
• Strong multitasking skills; you can manage a full waitlist and a ringing phone without losing your composure
• Sharp attention to detail and an instinct for reading a room
• Previous host, server, or hospitality experience preferred, ideally in an upscale casual or fine dining setting
• Professional appearance and communication style that matches an elevated dining atmosphere
• Reliable, punctual, and a team player who pitches in wherever needed
