Job summary

Glass & Vine in Coconut Grove is seeking a friendly Host to join our front-of-house team. You will greet guests, assist with reservations, and guide them to tables to create welcoming first impressions.

The role emphasizes accurate wait time estimates, seating optimization for balanced workload, and answering guests' questions. Prior hospitality experience and OpenTable familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior customer service experience in hospitality.
• Positive attitude and interpersonal skills.
• Good communication and phone etiquette.
• Flexibility with alternating shifts.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• OpenTable experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greeting customers as they walk into the restaurant.
• Helping guests with reservations and guiding them to their table.
• Giving guests accurate wait time estimates and seating them in the waiting area.
• Providing customers with menus and answering any initial questions they may have.

Glass & Vine is an upscale outdoor dining venue known for its warm hospitality, beautifully landscaped setting, and seasonal menu. We create relaxed yet refined experiences for guests—perfect for date nights, special occasions, and weekend gatherings. We’re looking for upbeat, guest-first personalities to join our front-of-house team and help deliver the excellent service our guests expect.
