Job summary

Root Down in Denver is seeking an experienced restaurant leader to oversee operations in a high-volume, chef-driven concept. You will manage staff, ensure top-tier guest service, and coordinate events while upholding sustainable practices and safety standards.

The role requires knowledge of wine, beer, cocktails, and a demonstrated ability to train and develop teams, with open availability including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Ability to multi-task in a high-volume atmosphere.
• Broad range of restaurant management experience across chef- and culinary-driven concepts.
• Knowledge and experience with wine, beer, and specialty cocktails.
• Experience with events management and oversight is a plus.
• Professional, polished manner and elite customer service skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn, manage, and communicate extensive ingredient & product knowledge.
• Experience hiring, training, and cultivating staff.
• Committed to sustainable waste practices.
• Mindset around learning and personal development.
• Brings energy and a positive attitude.
• Works well collaboratively and independently.
• Strong commitment to codes, regulations, and laws for alcohol service, health, and safety.
• Background with online management platforms such as Paylocity, ShiftNotes, Google Drive, R365, etc.
• Physical stamina to stand and move throughout a shift.
• Open availability including nights and weekends.
• Must be able to lift over 20lbs multiple times per shift.

Salary Range : $65,000 - $75,000 per year

Requirements

• The ability to multi-task and perform in a high-volume atmosphere
• A broad range of restaurant management experience encompassing different styles of service and cuisine in chef driven, culinary driven food concepts
• Knowledge and experience with wine, beer, and specialty cocktails
• Experience with events management and oversight is a plus
