Job summary

The Saint in Dallas Design District is seeking a Host/Hostess to greet guests, manage the host stand, and guide guests to their tables.

You will handle reservations, answer calls, keep menus current, and ensure guests feel welcomed while maintaining a clean host area. A background in fine dining and a flexible weekend schedule are preferred; training and advancement opportunities accompany competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Must be able to bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Prior host experience in fine dining is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be a team player with a positive attitude.
• Able to work weekends and holidays with a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and escort to their table.
• Maintain knowledge of table numbers and seating arrangements.
• Manage reservation book and communicate requests to staff.
• Answer phones and handle guest inquiries and bookings.
• Keep menus updated and replace damaged inserts.
• Check back with waiting guests and keep them informed.
• Maintain a clean, organized host area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We are looking for a Host/Hostess to join our team at The Saint in The Design District! The Saint experience focuses on fresh pasta, dry-aged steaks, and options for vegetarians and vegans.

What we are looking for:

• Greet guests with a welcoming smile and professional manner and assist guests to their table.
• Maintain knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, proper table set ups.
• Clear & concise knowledge of the reservation operating system. Keeping an accurate count of reservations and managing the reservation book. Communicate special reservation requests regarding allergies, special occasions, etc. – Responsible for conveying all such information to management and appropriate staff.
• Answering phones, answering guest inquiries, taking guest reservations, knowledge of room capacity, hours of operation, price range, and dress code.
• Ensure menus are currently updated according to the most recent changes. Clean and replace any damaged inserts or menu covers.
• Frequently check back with guests who are waiting to be seated; make it evident to guests that they have not been forgotten and that tables are being prepared for them.
• Maintain a clean and organized host area.
• Perform other job-related duties as requested.

Ideal Candidate:
