Job summary

Opal Sands Resort in Clearwater Beach, FL is looking for a friendly Host/Hostess to warmly greet guests, manage reservations, and seat guests promptly.

You will handle waiting lists, coordinate with wait staff, and keep track of table availability while ensuring a welcoming, efficient dining experience. The role may require prior hospitality experience and courteous phone skills, with a focus on accurate messaging.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED a plus but not required.
• Previous hospitality experience is a plus.
• Courteous phone skills and accurate message taking are essential.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a friendly and inviting manner.
• Take reservations using the restaurant reservation system.
• Seat guests promptly with friendly conversation.
• Manage restaurant waiting list and quote accurate wait times.
• Monitor table availability and inventory.
• Thank guests and invite them to return.
• Communicate with wait staff and supervisors about table availability.
• Adhere to company policies and wear the provided uniform.

Responsibilities:

• Greeting guests in a friendly and inviting manner
• Take reservations with the restaurant reservation system
• Engaging in friendly conversation as you seat guests in a timely fashion
• Managing restaurant waiting list during high volume to accurately set waiting time quotes for guests
• Manage inventory of tables available
• Always sincerely thanking guests as they leave and inviting them to return
• Other reasonable duties as assigned
• Communicate with wait staff and supervisors regarding availability of tables
• Communicate with supervisor any complaints or compliments
• Adhere to the rules and regulations of the company as defined in the employee handbook
• Always wear appropriate uniform provided by company policy

Qualifications:
