Tavern Hall in Bellevue, WA is seeking a friendly host to warmly greet guests, manage reservations and seating flow, and coordinate with servers to balance sections. You will communicate wait times clearly and assist guests with inquiries while maintaining a clean, organized host stand.

Position Summary

Hosts are the first and last point of contact for our guests and play a critical role in setting the tone for the entire dining experience. This role requires warmth, organization, strong communication, and the ability to manage guest flow in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating flow

Requirements

To perform this role successfully, team members must be able to:

• Meet minimum age requirements for the position and obtain any required permits or certifications (e.g., Washington State Food Worker Card, MAST permit, etc.).
• Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Move quickly and safely through a busy dining room environment.
• Lift and carry up to 25-40 pounds (role dependent).
• Work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Communicate effectively with guests and team members.
• Follow company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
• Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
• Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Compensation:

• Minimum wage ($17.13) per hour plus tip pool participation.
• Based on current 2026 earnings, average tips per hour typically range from $14-$18 per hour.
• Actual earnings may vary based on factors such as shift volume, business levels, and individual performance.
