Job summary

Loma Tex-Mex is seeking a Hospitality Host to greet guests, manage the entry, and guide guests to seats with warmth as the ambassador of our brand.

You will balance floor flow, assist servers, and support the team during busy periods, ensuring a memorable dining experience from arrival to departure.

Qualifications

• Presence: A polished, professional appearance and confident, well-spoken demeanor.
• Tech-Savvy: Experience with modern reservation systems (preferred) and ability to learn quickly.
• Stamina: Ability to stand and move with purpose for 6–8 hours.
• Certifications: Valid TABC and Food Handler certifications.

• Air Traffic Control: Manage floor flow using OpenTable, balancing guest wait times with server capacity and kitchen pace.
• The First Impression: Greet every guest with warmth and keep entryway clean, organized, and welcoming.
• The Hand-Off: Escort guests to tables, present menus with a short story of our casual fine-dining approach, and introduce their server by name.
• Communication Hub: Handle phone inquiries and reservations professionally; act as the link between front door and operation.
• Team Support: During lulls, assist with polishing glassware, resetting tables, or running chips and salsa to keep momentum.
