Job summary

Allied Universal® is hiring a Security Professional - Unarmed to conduct patrols in a hospital environment, both interior and exterior as needed. The role includes access control, CCTV monitoring, and report writing to deter security threats.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license if driving, and 2+ years of related experience. They must be able to communicate clearly and work in health-care settings with safety sensitive duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current driver’s license if driving a company-owned vehicle.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Minimum of two years of verifiable customer service or protective service history.
• Must be 18+ years old.
• Ability to operate radio/console monitors; communicate with the public.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of hospital grounds on foot or in vehicle; document detailed observations of unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Assist hospital staff with de-escalation of situations involving patients; restrain combative individuals as necessary (within company and customer guidelines).
• Transport patients to the morgue, as needed.
• Escort patients from helicopter pad to the emergency room when required.
• Assist with evacuations during fires, medical emergencies, and natural disasters.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain logs.
