Job summary

Allied Universal® is hiring a Security Professional - Unarmed. This role involves unarmed patrols in a hospital setting, access control, CCTV monitoring, and report writing. Drug screening may be required due to safety sensitivity.

Positions offer full-time, part-time, and flexible schedules with various shifts including weekends. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license if driving, and at least two years of relevant experience in security or customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current driver’s license if driving company- or customer-owned vehicle.
• Minimum of two years of verifiable employment history in customer service or protective services.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors.
• Demonstrated ability to interact cordially with the public.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Problem solving and active listening skills.
• Ability to assess situations quickly and communicate clearly.
• Able to mediate conflicts with tact and diplomacy.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of hospital grounds on foot or by vehicle and document observations.
• Assist staff with de-escalation and restrain combative individuals as needed.
• Transport patients to the morgue when required.
• Escort patients from helicopter pad to the emergency room.
• Assist with evacuations during emergencies and natural disasters.
• Sound alarms or contact authorities for fires or unauthorized access.
• Monitor entrances/exits to ensure only authorized entrants.
• Observe departing personnel and deter theft of company property.
• Investigate incidents and prepare reports; maintain logs.
