Job summary

NELSON is seeking a Technical Designer II to join our Hospitality Practice. The role supports project administration, design development, and drawing production across all phases on a broad range of hospitality projects including hotels, resorts, spa, F&B, gaming, and experiential destinations.

The candidate will prepare construction documents, update designs, and maintain project files while adhering to NELSON standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
• High proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Photoshop and/or InDesign preferred.
• Must be deadline-oriented.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Experience with hospitality projects (hotels, resorts, spa, F&B, gaming, entertainment).

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of construction documents and specifications.
• Update design documents and incorporate red lines as needed.
• Assist other team members while conducting field surveys as required.
• Participate in the design process as directed.
• Provide material, product, and system research and compile project data.
• Plot/Prepare drawings for digital transmittance to consultants, clients and/or contractor.
• Follow NELSON standards and guidelines in the preparation of deliverables.
• Maintain and archive electronic project files.
• Assist with schematic phases and budget awareness.
